Dr. Doran R. Stark, MD

Now retired, Dr. Stark remains highly respected for his decades of surgical excellence and leadership in plastic surgery. Surgical excellence, absolute satisfaction, and patient safety formed the cornerstones of Dr. Stark’s distinguished career. Over more than 20 years of practice, he performed thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. He is the founder of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the largest private clinic in Florida and has served as Chairman of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, one of the largest hospitals in Florida.

Dr. Stark graduated with honors from the University of Colorado Medical School in 1981. His plastic surgery training was completed at the University of Virginia. He also pursued extensive additional training, including fellowships in craniofacial, hand, and microvascular surgery.

Dr. Stark is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He remains an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and proudly displays their symbol. He is also a member of the AMA.

During his active years, Dr. Stark performed surgery in his accredited office operating room with board-certified anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists, ensuring absolute safety and privacy. Arrangements for hospital surgery with an overnight stay were also available.
